How long does the environmental review process take?: It varies, depending on the complexity of the site and development proposal. Some projects are exempt, and it only takes a few minutes to verify that. Some projects require review, but can demonstrate no impact, and can be approved relatively quickly (a couple weeks to a couple months). Other projects are more complex, have significant impacts, or require a public hearing. These projects can take anywhere from a few months upward, depending on what the specific issues are for each project.
