My swimming pool has an approved safety cover on it. Do I still need a fence or barrier?
Yes, IRC Appendix G Section AG105 An outdoor swimming pool, including an in-ground, above-ground or on-ground pool that contains water over 24 inches (610 mm) shall be surrounded by a barrier. The top of the barrier shall be at least 48 inches above grade with self closing and latching gates.
