Do I need a permit to run a daycare?: Adult and Child Home-Based Day-Care facilities can operate from any residence, restricted to a maximum of 12 children or adults. Day care facilities with more than 12 children or adults are allowed according to your parcel zone classification, refer to Title 18A, Development Regulations - Zoning. Development regulations specific to a day care facility can be found in 18A.36.070 Day-Care Facilities.

2. Do I need a business license to operate a business out of my home?: Some home occupations do require a Business License. Planning & Public Works no longer requires a home occupation permit. However, there are still requirements in the code for a Home Occupation, see 18A.37.110 .
