To obtain information on registered Level II and Level III Sex Offenders and Kidnap Offenders in your neighborhood, please use the online Sex Offender Search.

3. How do I know if someone is in jail?

A list of the names of all inmates currently housed in the Pierce County Jail can be viewed at the Jail Roster.  This list does not include persons who are on home detention, at Western State Hospital, or part of the Breaking The Cycle program.

4. Where do I go to get a concealed weapons permit?

Apply for a concealed pistol license through South Sound 911.

5. How do I find out about crime in my neighborhood?

To obtain statistics about crime occurring in your neighborhood please use CommunityCrimeMap.com; this site provides citizens with access to maps of reported crimes around a designated address; users can sign up to receive updates on specific crime types within a specific distance of an address.  To see the statistics for specific crimes please use PierceCountyCrimeData.org. 6. Where do I file a police report?

Some crimes can be reported online on South Sound 911’s website by clicking on "File a Police/Sheriff Report". If your crime does not fit the online reporting criteria, call the non-emergency number at 253-287-4455, or go in person to the South Hill Precinct, 271 John Bananola Way E.

7. Where do I get a copy of my criminal history?

Criminal History can be obtained from the "ACCESS" program on the Washington State Patrol website, wsp.wa.gov. You may also obtain a synopsis called a DCH (Defendant Case History) from District Court located in room 239 on the 2nd floor of the County City Building, 930 Tacoma Ave. S.

8. Who do I contact for an update on my case?

If you know the name of the detective who is assigned to your case, you may contact him/her. For any other update, you may call the Sheriff’s Administration desk at 253-798-7530.
