While Clan Chieftains would select clansmen to battle it out with brute strength and speed, it was an event made for the entire family. Highland Games continued through the centuries until the battle of Culloden which led to a crackdown of traditional highland culture and the near demise of the beloved highland games. Let's run/walk the Foothills Trail together - again! All ages and abilities are welcome! - yes, there will be donuts! The 5K course starts and finishes next to the Orting Main City Park and is USATF certified, and chip timed. The Foothills Trail is paved and provides flat areas with easy slopes. Enjoy a pre-race warm-up hosted by Jazzercise, take a photo at the photo booth, enjoy lawn games, coffee, and snacks!
Join us for a pawsome afternoon filled with friends, peanut butter doggie art time, puppuccinos for all pups, participate in "America's Next Top Dog" costume contest and interactive training demonstrations, get the energy out in our doggie play area, win prizes in our "Ruffle Drawing", visit with the Pierce County Sheriff K9 Team and animal control, tour the numerous dog vendors, support local rescues, and explore educational booths.
