Consistent with Pierce County’s Comprehensive Plan to End Homelessness, the goal of this NOFA is to increase the number of emergency shelter beds and shelter capacity in Pierce County by providing funding for the expansion of existing emergency shelter facilities.

  2. NOFA Release - Homeless Housing Programs

    February 22, 2024, All Day

    The County has made available, in accordance with the Pierce County Comprehensive Plan to End Homelessness (CPEH), the following funds to provide shelter, outreach and permanent housing assistance to homeless households in the County. Collectively, these funds, known as the Homeless Housing Program (HHP) funds, support an integrated system of housing assistance that quickly re-houses households who are experiencing homelessness. For this funding competition, the County estimates total funding of approximately $12.5 million will be available for July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025. Successful proposers will be offered a 12 month-contract with the option to renew for a second 12-month period, depending upon contract performance and available funding.

  3. RFP - PSTAA Birth to 25 Funding

    Pierce County Human Services has made available, in accordance with the Puget Sound Taxpayer Accountability Act (PSTAA), the following funds to provide educational enhancement programs for children, youth, and young adults ages birth to 25 in Pierce County. For this procurement, the County estimates total PSTAA funding of approximately $6.0 million.
